Partner with NDMV

Notre Dame Mission Volunteers places trained, service-oriented volunteers in community-based organizations across the country. NDMV Volunteers commit to a full or part time role at the Partnering Site providing direct service, focusing on education, workforce development, food security, social and emotional development, and community health.

    1. Be a 501c3 Non-Profit organization that aligns with the NDMV Mission, Vision, and Values and falls within one of our current states of service.

    2. Agree to a Partnering Site Contribution (PSC) to be paid per volunteer each service year

    3. Identify a Site Supervisor(s) who will accompany and support NDMV volunteers and staff throughout the service term

    4. Support data collection

    5. Fall within NDMV’s Performance Measure Outcomes

    6. Sign a Partnering Site Agreement – inclusive of all AmeriCorps Prohibited and Unallowable activities

  • An NDMV Volunteer is more than an extra set of hands.  Each volunteer participates in a structured program designed to cultivate leadership, accountability, and mission-driven service. Throughout the service year, volunteers engage in:

    • Bi-weekly team meetings that build collaboration, reflection, and shared learning

    • Retreat experiences that deepen commitment and resilience

    • Service projects and community engagement opportunities

    • Ongoing accompaniment and supervision with NDMV Site Managers

These elements are not add-ons; they are essential to our mission of developing leaders through education and compassionate service.  At times, participation in these gatherings will require volunteers to be away from their placement site. We work to schedule thoughtfully and communicate clearly in advance.

  • NDMV’s support structure is only one part of the equation. We view leadership development as a shared responsibility between NDMV and our partner sites. We ask partner sites to:

    • Provide meaningful responsibilities aligned with community needs

    • Offer opportunities for professional growth and increased responsibility over time

    • Support volunteers in accessing relevant training and development opportunities

    • Recognize that volunteers may require additional guidance early in their term

While volunteers often need more structured support at the beginning of their service year, our goal is growth — expanding confidence, competence, and leadership capacity as the year progresses.  Together, we cultivate leaders who not only serve effectively today but carry forward a lifelong commitment to education, compassion, justice, and community.

  • Step 1: Submit Online Intent Form
The 26-27 Partner Intent Form is now available until June!

Step 2: Intent From Review and Follow Up
NDMV Staff will review intakes on a weekly basis and be in touch with all organizations who complete the intent form for follow up conversation. We hope to ensure alignment between both NDMV and Partners.

Step 3: Approval & Next Steps
If approved, Partners will be assigned an NDMV Site Manager who will connect on recruitment, placements, and programming.
