International Rescue Committee
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) seeks to restore the health, safety, education, economic well-being, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster by providing services for individuals and families to restore dignity and hope and rebuild their lives. NDMV members support adult learners by providing language, financial literacy, health and career readiness workshops. Members also support high school students within after-school programs.
Catholic Charities Atlanta provides transformative services that empower families to overcome barriers and achieve self-sufficiency by providing a holistic combination of accredited social services tailored for the unique circumstances of the people they serve. NDMV members support adult learners by delivering career readiness workshops and students in grades K-12 by providing academic, life skills, and behavioral support in the afterschool and mentorship program.
“I Have A Dream” (IHDF) - Atlanta is part of a national network that believes that when given equal access to resources all children can ignite their innate potential and achieve their dreams. IHDF partners with youth and their families as they successfully navigate school, college, and their careers by providing long-term, holistic academic, behavioral programming for students from 1st grade through college and supporting them with postsecondary scholarships. NDMV members at IHDF Atlanta serve by engaging with students in the classroom and after school programming, offering education support and workshops, building relationships, and providing enriching, hands-on projects, theme-based learning and opportunities for elementary age students.
Agape Youth & Family Center empowers and supports underserved families within its community to discover, embrace, and achieve their full potential. It provides academic support and family services focusing on character development, academic achievement, reading proficiency by third grade, successful high school graduation and post-graduation placement. NDMV members serve as Youth Instructors and Volunteer Coordinators.
