Service Sites
Mary House is a housing and support services program for families in crisis. Family advocates work one-on-one with families living at Mary House, providing various education and resource support. NDMV members focus on after school programming, food/clothing distribution, or community outreach. Members must be fluent in Spanish.
Washington School for Girls (WSG) is a tuition-free, all-girls school serving students in grades 4-8. NDMV members support both in the classroom and during after-school programming and provide family resources through their family engagement and community outreach program.
Washington Jesuit Academy is an all-boys school serving grades 4-8 students. NDMV members support both in the classroom and during their after-school programming.
Located in Hyattsville, MD, St. Ann’s Center is a community space that provides single mothers with the skills and resources they need to support themselves and their children. NDMV members support either moms through GED classes and wellness workshops or their children via child care assistance.
Beacon House provides afterschool education and youth development services to students ages 5-18. With a focus on closing the achievement gap, NDMV members support community programming by providing academic support and life skills workshops.
MYA aims to prepare underserved youth for success in educational and future endeavors by helping them develop skills, self-discipline, and cohesive relationships through sports and various wellness and educational programs. MYA uses boxing and the gym as a vehicle to engage with teenagers and introduce them to a broad platform of activities. NDMV members serve by providing after school academic and wellness support and programs to students in grades K-12.
